Get Involved!

As an all volunteer professional organization, volunteer opportunities exist for people who want to complete a one-time task, or volunteer for a recurring responsibility, requiring only a few hours a month. Volunteering is a great way to get more involved.

NHPR program listings: Update the NHPR radio underwriting text each month. (Estimated less than 1 hour per month.)

Sponsorship: See Chapter Leadership

Marketing Campaigns: Volunteer for one of these specific marketing campaigns, (Estimated 1-3 hours per month)

  • ASTD web site
  • ASTD Chapter outreach to other professional organizations
  • ASTD Chapter and programs

Member feedback surveys: Develop and create a method of collecting input and feedback from members and the community.

GOALS:

The Marketing Committee is a tool for other committees, ASTD-NH and the membership to use to make people aware of all of the events, resources and benefits available to our members. The Marketing Committee's goals include:

  • Provide the best possible web site to provide value to our members and market ASTD-NH.
    • Upgrade site in features, functionality, user interface, and to state-of-the-art technology to provide improved member benefits and support growth.
    • Leverage technology to support our membership, such as with launching special interest groups
  • Make sure program announcements, and ASTD-NH news reach all appropriate local media ' advertising
  • Mentor a General Board Member for this position
  • Form a committee to handle advertising and secure sponsors (See Chapter Leadership) for all events
  • Brainstorm new ways to make ASTD-NH visible as the preeminent professional organization to join for training, development, human resource professional
    • Facilitate marketing our members and member companies expertise to others using the Directory, Members Gallery and other resources.
    • Facilitate connecting companies with open positions with our members, using our job listing & email blast services
    • Market ASTD-NH to other professional organizations and the community
